ROČ, BUZET, BUILDING LAND

Description

ROČ, BUZET - we have received into our offer a building plot with a total area of 2700 m2 in an attractive location. It is surrounded by greenery and has an open view. It is regularly shaped, gently sloped. All connections are nearby.

In the centre of northern Istria, at 348 metres above sea level, surrounded by natural beauty, rises the small town of Roč, 10 kilometres from Buzet. It was founded back in prehistoric times. It was first an Illyrian settlement, then a Roman "castrum", surrounded by numerous smaller settlements. In the Middle Ages it was transformed into a fortified castle enclosed by walls with defensive towers, and the Great Gate and Small Gate. During the 15th and 16th centuries, Roč was a centre of Croatian literacy, publishing and printing based on the oldest Slavic script, Glagolitic.
The present appearance of Roč dates from the Venetian period. Roč is visited by many excursionists, tourists and lovers of history and Glagolitic script. Located beneath Ćićarija, which descends along the valley of the Mirna River to the warm sea, this small town today keeps pace with modern developments.
